Do the high beam headlamps operate properly?

Go to Headlamps Inoperative - High Beams

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 5

Replace the IPC. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Does the high beam indicator located on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminate when the headlamp dimmer switch is cycled to the high beam position?

Test the headlamp automatic high beam DIM status circuit for an open, high resistance, or short. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the inside rearview mirror (ISRVM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .
