Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

Are any indicators/messages displayed in the DIC?

Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Turn the parklamp and headlamp switch to OFF.
3. Remove the keyfob from inside the vehicle.
4. Close the driver door.

Does the chime sound?

Go to Step 4

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
3. With a scan tool and the driver door open, observe the Door Ajar parameter in the DDM data list

Does the scan tool Door Ajar parameter display DOOR AJAR?

Go to Step 5

Go to Symptoms - Doors in Doors

With the scan tool, observe the parklamp and the headlamp switch parameter in the IPM data list.

Does the parklamp and the headlamp switch parameter display OFF?

Go to Step 6

Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems in Lighting Systems

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the audio amplifier. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the audio amplifier. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement,setup and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
