Verify that the reverse park aid mirror option is turned ON for the current driver. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization.

Was the option ON or did you turn the reverse park aid option ON?

With the mirror control switches, operate the passenger door mirror in both the Up and Down directions.

Does the passenger door mirror operate in both directions?

Go to Step 4

Go to Power Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Start the engine.
  2. With the brake pedal depressed, move the gear shift selector into the reverse position.

Does the passenger outside rearview mirror tilt downward 10 degrees?

Go to Step 7

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Important: Perform the setup procedure for the replacement door module. Refer to Door Control Module Programming and Setup in Programming and Setup.

Replace the PDM. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
