Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 887841 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Rotate the generator drive belt tension clockwise to release drive belt tension.
  3. Remove the drive belt from the generator pulley and allow the belt to hang.
  4. Loosen the generator drive belt tensioner bolt.
  5. Remove the drive belt tensioner and bolt from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 887841 Size: SH
  1. Position the generator drive belt tensioner and bolt to the engine as an assembly.
  2. Ensure that the alignment pin on the rear of the tensioner assembly is aligned with the locating hole on the engine.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Rotate the generator drive belt tension clockwise.
  5. Install the drive belt to the generator pulley.
  6. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
