Ensure that all doors are closed and the interior courtesy lamps turn off.

Do the exterior courtesy lamps remain illuminated?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems

Test the door exterior courtesy lamp ground circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver door module (DDM) or passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the DDM or PDM. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.
