The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that there is a Hoot or Squeak type noise coming from the hydroboost area on a rapid brake apply with the vehicle sitting stationary. When duplicating the concern, the noise can be isolated to brake combination valve. The noise may also be more noticeable during warm weather and may disappear during cold weather.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Please do not replace any parts on the vehicle. engineering has determined this is a normal characteristic of the vehicle.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
