Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle. Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement.
1	Vehicle Speed Sensor Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Procedure Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector. Tighten 17 N·m (13 lb ft)
2	Vehicle Speed Sensor O-ring Procedure Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean DEXRON® VI.

Component Name

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement.

Vehicle Speed Sensor

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Disconnect vehicle speed sensor electrical connector.

Tighten
17 N·m (13 lb ft)

Vehicle Speed Sensor O-ring

Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean DEXRON® VI.
