Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1975037  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness (1) from the auxiliary fluid pump control module connector (2).
  2. Remove the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness (6) from the harness retainers (7).
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  4. Remove the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness clip nut (3).
  5. Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission auxiliary fluid pump.

  7. Remove the auxiliary fluid pump bolts (1).
  8. Notice: Do not damage the case sealing surface when removing or installing the pump and motor assembly.

  9. Remove the auxiliary fluid pump (2).
  10. Notice: The auxiliary fluid pump gasket is not re-usable. Use a NEW gasket when replacing or damage may occur.

  11. Remove the auxiliary fluid pump gasket (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: The auxiliary fluid pump gasket is not re-usable. Use a NEW gasket when replacing or damage may occur.

  1. Install the auxiliary fluid pump gasket (3).
  2. Notice: Do not damage the case sealing surface when removing or installing the pump and motor assembly.

  3. Install the auxiliary fluid pump (2).
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the auxiliary fluid pump bolts (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9-13 N·m (80-115 lb in).

  7. Install the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness clip nut (3).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness (6) to the harness retainers (7).

  11. Object Number: 1975037  Size: SH
  12. Connect the auxiliary fluid pump wire harness (1) to the auxiliary fluid pump control module connector (2).
  13. Notice: Use Dexron VI transmission fluid only. Failure to use the proper fluid may result in transmission internal damage.

  14. Fill the transmission with the proper amount of transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications and Transmission Fluid Check.
