The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2007 Cadillac Escalade customers may report that their Navigation radio RPO (U3R) defaults to the FM band screen after a OnStar or Hands Free Calling (HFC) is placed and/or ended from the Navigation radio. Futhermore, the customer may report the system works as designed if the call is placed and ended from the OnStar call answer/end button on the mirror assembly.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Example: The Navigation radio is tuned to an XM Band. An OnStar or HFC is placed and/or ended from the Navigation screen. The audio will return but the radio is now tuned to the FM Band.
Important Note: This is a NORMAL condition and no further actions are required.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
