Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cables.

  2. Object Number: 348714  Size: SH
  3. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 387553  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the brown connector.
  6. Disconnect all other connectors (1).
  7. Remove the body control module (BCM) from the sliding bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 387553  Size: SH
  1. Slide the BCM onto the bracket.
  2. Connect all the connectors (1) except the brown connector.
  3. Connect the brown connector.

  4. Object Number: 348714  Size: SH
  5. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cables.
  7. Reprogram the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
  8. Perform the Passlock Learn Procedure. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components .
  9. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
