Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 914889 Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the upper electrical harness connectors (3).
  3. Remove the module (2) retaining screws (1).
  4. Slide the module to the right to disengage the lower retainers.

  5. Disconnect the lower electrical harness connectors (2).
  6. Remove the module from the vehicle.

    7. Object Number: 1746657 Size: SH
  7. Remove the memory seat module bracket retaining screw (1).
  8. Disconnect the other push in retainers securing the bracket to the seat adjuster.
  9. Disconnect the seat recliner motor and module electrical connectors.
  10. Slide the seat recliner motor (3) and module (4) toward the center of the seat to disconnect from the drive cable and lift the bracket out with the motor still attached.
  11. Drill out the rivets from the top of the bracket to release the motor (3) and module (4) from the bracket (2).
  12. Remove the module (4) from the motor (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1746659 Size: SH
  1. Install the module to the motor (3).
  2. Remove the two large headed rivets from the grommets of the relacement motor and discard.
  3. Position the motor to the memory seat module bracket and attach with the screws (1) and special nuts (2) provided with the replacement motor.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the motor retaining screws (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (36 lb in).

  5. Position the memory seat bracket to the seat adjuster and attach the drive cable to the recliner motor.
  6. Install the bracket retaining screw.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  7. Install the push in retainers that secure the bracket to the seat adjuster assembly.
  8. Connect the seat recliner motor and module electrical connectors.

  9. Position the module into the vehicle.
  10. Connect the lower electrical harness connectors (2).

    11. Object Number: 914889 Size: SH
  11. Slide the module (2) to the left to engage the lower retainers.
  12. Install the module retaining screws (3).

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  13. Connect the upper electrical harness connectors (3).
  14. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
