Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  2. Remove the park/turn signal lamps. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.

  5. Object Number: 741571  Size: SH
  6. Remove the retaining bolts (3) from the grille reinforcement.
  7. Remove the retaining screws (2) from the grille reinforcement.
  8. Remove the reinforcement from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 741571  Size: SH
  1. Install the reinforcement to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the retaining screws (2) to the grille reinforcement.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the retaining bolts (3) to the reinforcement.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  7. Install the park/turn signal lamps. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Install the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  9. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
