Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

  1. Remove the upper tilt head components. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 324882  Size: SH
  3. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
  4. Remove the 2 tapping screws from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3).

  5. Object Number: 324874  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the park lock cable assembly (1).
  7. The steering column lock cylinder set should be in the OFF-LOCK position.
  8. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the lock module assembly and push against the locking tab to remove.

  9. Object Number: 368510  Size: SH
  10. Remove the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
  11. Important: The lock bolt assembly (4) is under slight spring tension from the lock bolt spring (3). Hold the lock bolt (4) in place while removing the lock module assembly (2).

  12. Remove the lock module assembly (2) and the lock bolt assembly (4) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  13. Remove the lock bolt spring (3) from the lock bolt assembly (4).

Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Floor Shift

  1. Remove the upper tilt head components. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 324882  Size: SH
  3. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
  4. Remove the 2 tapping screws from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3).

  5. Object Number: 368510  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
  7. Important: The lock bolt assembly (4) is under slight spring tension from the lock bolt spring (3). Hold the lock bolt (4) in place while removing the lock module assembly (2).

  8. Remove the lock module assembly (2) and the lock bolt assembly (4) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  9. Remove the lock bolt spring (3) from the lock bolt assembly (4).
