Circuit Description

The BCM and IPC monitor their input voltages to determine if it is above 10.0 V.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The IPC measures the following conditions:

    • The engine speed greater than 1500 RPM
    • The battery positive voltage at the IPC or BCM 10 V for 2 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The IPC displays the BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW message on the driver message center.
    • If the voltage falls below approximately 9.0 V, the IPC turns off all of the unneeded dimming VF display circuits.
