Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 166861  Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake air duct (1) clamp (5) from the MAF sensor (4).

  2. Object Number: 26335  Size: SH
  3. Lift the air cleaner element assembly (1) off of the air inlet assembly (2) locating pins.
  4. Slide the air cleaner element assembly (1) toward the fender to unseat the locating tab of the air cleaner element assembly (1) from the slot of the air inlet assembly (2).

  5. Object Number: 26343  Size: SH
  6. Remove or disconnect the IAT sensor.
  7. Remove the air cleaner element.
  8. Remove the air cleaner element assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 26335  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner element.
  2. Ensure the rubber locating grommets are secure in the bottom of the air cleaner element assembly (1).
  3. Slide locating tab on bottom of the air cleaner element assembly (1) down into the slot on the top of air inlet assembly (2).
  4. Press the air cleaner element assembly (1) down onto the locating pins ensuring the locating grommets are secure in the bottom of the air cleaner element assembly (1).

  6. Install or connect the Intake Air Temperature sensor.

  7. Object Number: 166861  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the intake air duct (1) to the MAF sensor (4).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp (5) assembly to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).
