Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP) upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the screw holding the cluster trim panel and the passenger trim panel together.

  3. Object Number: 517251  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws from the outside edges of the IP cluster trim panel (1).
  5. Disconnect the Driver Information Center (DIC) electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the IP cluster trim panel (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 517251  Size: SH
  1. Engage the lower edge of the IP cluster trim plate (1) to the IP.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the DIC switches.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the IP cluster trim panel (1) screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the screw securing the IP cluster bezel to the passenger trim panel.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the Upper Trim Pad Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement
