Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.

  5. Remove the nut securing the engine mount to the engine mount bracket.
  6. Lower the jack allowing the engine to lower slightly.

  7. Object Number: 154972  Size: SH
  8. Remove the jack
  9. Remove the nut (4) and bolt (1) securing the right engine mount to the frame rail.
  10. Remove the 2 nuts (3) securing the right engine mount to the frame rail.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Remove the surge tank retaining bolts and position away. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  13. Object Number: 768296  Size: SH
  14. Remove the frame rail bolts retaining screws.
  15. Raise the vehicle.
  16. Push up on the frame rail bolts in order to clear the mount as the top of the mount is tilted away from the vehicle.
  17. Remove the right engine mount.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 768296  Size: SH
  1. Position the right engine mount to the right motor mount support bracket.
  2. Push up on the frame rail bolts in order to clear the mount as the mount is rotated into the proper position.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the frame rail retaining screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  7. Raise the vehicle.

  9. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack and raise into position.
  10. Install the right engine mount attaching bolt (1) and nut (4) to the frame rail.
  11. Install the nuts (3) securing the right engine mount to the body rail.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the right engine mount to body rail nuts (3, 4) to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  13. Install the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the right engine mount nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

  15. Remove the engine support jack.
  16. Install the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.
