Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105524  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fasteners (1) from the rear edge of the insulator panel.
  2. Pull the closeout / insulator panel down in order to disengage the push pin type fasteners from the lower instrument panel.
  3. Slide the closeout / insulator panel toward the rear of the vehicle.
  4. Remove the closeout / insulator panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Place the forward edge of the closeout / insulator panel on the shelf above the carpeting at the front of the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 105524  Size: SH
  3. Align the insulator with the fastener holes on the insulator panel.
  4. Install the push pin type retainers in order to hold the insulator panel in position.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the threaded fasteners (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (1) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
