Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 511639  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the 2 fasteners (1) securing the nylon nuts (2) to the inner panel.

  4. Object Number: 511644  Size: SH
  5. Remove the cover (2) securing the front of the wiring harness to the water deflector (1).

  6. Object Number: 511646  Size: SH
  7. Press the center stud of the retainers (1) in order to remove the water deflector (2).
  8. Remove the retainers (1).

  9. Object Number: 511650  Size: SH
  10. Remove the water deflector.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 511648  Size: SH
  1. Reset the retainers by pushing the stud from the backside.

  2. Object Number: 511650  Size: SH
  3. Install the water deflector to the door assembly in the following order:
  4. 2.1. Align the water deflector to the inner panel.
    2.2. Insert the retainers through the water deflector.
    2.3. Press the center stud flush with the retainers in order to lock in place.

  5. Install the cover (2) securing the front of the wiring harness to the water deflector (1).

  6. Object Number: 511639  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the two fasteners (1) securing the nylon nuts (2) to the inner panel.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the two fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  10. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
