Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel to gain access to the power mirror wire harness connector. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 513972  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the power mirror wire harness electrical connector (5) from the door module.
  5. Disconnect the wire harness from the retainer clip (4).
  6. Remove the mirror fasteners (3).
  7. Remove the mirror (1) from the door.
  8. Unseat the grommet (2).
  9. Pull the wiring harness through the hole in the mirror patch.

Installation Procedure

  1. Route the mirror wiring harness through the hole in the mirror patch.
  2. Seat the grommet (2).
  3. Install the mirror (1) into the door frame.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the mirror fasteners (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the mirror fasteners, in this order: forward, top, rear, to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the mirror wire harness into the retainer clip (4).
  8. Connect the power mirror electrical connector (5) to the door module.
  9. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
