Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat back from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  2. Remove the pass through fasteners (1).

  3. Object Number: 493766  Size: SH
  4. Remove the pass through from the seat back.

Installation Procedure

  1. Support the seat back by the lower mounting attachments in order to avoid the pass through door from binding after the fasteners are tightened.

  3. Install the pass through to the seat back.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the pass through fasteners (1) and tighten to:
  6. Tighten

        • Tighten the lower pass through fasteners to 11.75 N·m (104 lb in).
        • Tighten the upper pass through fasteners (1) to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
  7. Ensure the pass through door operates properly.
  8. Install the seat back into the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
