Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 474644  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fasteners (1) from the rear edge of the closeout / insulator panel  (2).
  2. Pull the closeout / insulator panel down in order to disengage the push pin type fasteners from the lower instrument panel.

  3. Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  4. Slide the closeout / insulator panel (2) toward the rear vehicle in order to clear the emergency brake bracket (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105526  Size: SH
  1. Slide the closeout insulator panel (2) over the top of the emergency brake bracket (1).

  2. Object Number: 474644  Size: SH
  3. Set the forward edge of the closeout insulator panel (2) on the shelf above the carpeting.
  4. Align the closeout insulator panel (2) with the fastener holes.
  5. Install the push pin type retainers in order to hold the insulator panel in position.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the threaded fasteners (1) to the lower insulator panel.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (1) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
