Radio Antenna Module Replacement All Models

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 585064  Size: SH
  1. Remove the left rear sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) and the coaxial cable (4, 5) from the AM/FM antenna module (1).
  4. Remove the fastener (3) retaining the AM/FM antenna module to the roof beam.
  5. Remove the AM/FM antenna module (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the AM/FM antenna module (1) to the roof beam, ensuring that the alignment tab is properly located.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install AM/FM antenna module retaining fastener (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna module fastener (3) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connectors (2) and the coaxial cables (4, 5) to the AM/FM antenna module (1).
  6. Install the rear assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the left rear sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
