Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 488279 Size: SH

    Important: Before replacement of the DIM module (1), record the personalization settings in order to transfer the settings after the DIM module (1) has been replaced.

  1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel Gauges, and Console.
  2. Disconnect the DIM module electrical connectors (2).

    3. Object Number: 488281 Size: SH
  3. Depress inward on the locking tab (2).
  4. With the locking tab (2) depressed, slide the DIM module (2) downward.
  5. Remove the DIM module (1) from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 509428 Size: SH
  1. Install the DIM module to the bracket.
  2. Slide the DIM module upward until the DIM module and the locking tab are fully engaged.

    3. Object Number: 488279 Size: SH
  3. Connect the DIM module electrical connectors (2).
  4. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel Gauges, and Console.
  5. Reprogram the DIM module (1). Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
