Keyless Entry System Description

Circuit Description

The Remote function actuator (RFA) module performs internal tests on the EEPROM each time the RFA module performs a write function to a memory address in the EEPROM.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

If the data read back after a write does not match the data being written three consecutive attempts, the RFA module sets DTC B1007 as current.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

A DTC B1007 is stored in the RFA module memory.

No driver warning message is displayed for this DTC.

The RFA module will store the value being written in another memory address in the EEPROM.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

This DTC requires a successful write/read in order to change the DTC from current to history.

Diagnostic Aids

The EEPROM cannot be removed from the RFA module.
