Preliminary Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling and SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the front seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Replacement .
3. Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement .
4. Remove the passenger presence system on the passenger seat. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front .
