Removal Procedure
- Remove both of the fuel injector sight shields. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
- If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 7.
- Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (4) from the ignition coil assembly.
- Remove the fuel injector sight shield studs.
- Remove the ignition coil assembly bolts.
- Remove the ignition coil assembly.
- Disconnect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
- Remove the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.
- Remove the ignition coil (2), as required.
Installation Procedure
- If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 6.
- Install the ignition coil assembly.
- Install the ignition coil assembly bolts.
- Install the fuel injector sight shield studs.
- Connect the engine harness electrical connector (4) to the ignition coil assembly.
- Install the ignition coil (2), as required.
- Install the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.
- Connect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
- Install both of the fuel injector sight shields. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the studs to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
