RELEASE OF NEW DESIGN LO-REVERSE PIPE SEAL

MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 CIMARRON EQUIPPED WITH THM125C TRANSAXLE

A new design (listed as second design in the GMSPO Parts Book) lo-reverse pipe seal was implemented on all Windsor built 125C transaxles, between January 12 (Julian Date 012) and April 6, 1987 (Julian Date 096).

The lo-reverse seal change includes the following new design components:

o Case with machine boss; o Retainer (bracket) to hold seal into case,and bolt; o Reverse oil pipe; o Seal assembly (the existing o-ring and steel backing plate are still used).

When servicing the new design lo-reverse pipe seal and components, parts can be ordered using the following part numbers:

NOTICE: The second design seal does not require a tool for removal from the case.

The new design case will not be released for service.

To service a new design case (with machined boss) for any reason, order a first design case and first design lo-reverse pipe, seal, retainer and bolt (refer to parts list for first design part numbers).

For warranty purposes, use:

Case, Replace Labor Operation K7800 (Plus appropriate ADD Time)

Seal, Lo-Reverse Use T6223 for .7 hours Pipe - Replace
