FRT. SEAT BACK RATTLE @ PIVOT BOLT-NEW BOLT & BUSHING P/N'S

MODELS AFFECTED: 1986-1988 CIMARRONS

Some 1986-1988 Cimarrons may exhibit a condition where there is a rattle, chucking, or popping noise in the front seat back. This may be caused by the front seat back inner pivot arm moving on the pivot bolt. To repair this condition use the following procedure:

1. Remove four seat to floor pan mounting bolts.

2. Remove seat pivot and bushing at seat inboard side.

3. Replace bolt, P/N 22543387, and bushing, P/N 22543386.

4. Reinstall seat mounting bolts.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation T4662 at .3 hour and trouble code 92 when submitting claim.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
