    • The flexible hydraulic brake hoses transmit hydraulic pressure from the brake pipes to the front and rear brake calipers. Inspect the flexible hydraulic brake hoses at least twice a year. The vehicle must be on a lift to perform the inspection.
    • Use a light and a mirror to inspect the hoses for the following conditions:
       - Inspect for road hazard damage. Replace the brake hose(s) if road hazard damage is evident.
       - Inspect for cracks. Replace the brake hose(s) if a crack(s) is evident.
       - Inspect for leaks. Replace the brake hose(s) if a leak(s) is evident.
       - Inspect for blisters Replace the brake hose(s) if a blister(s) is evident.
       - Inspect for chafing. Replace the brake hose(s) if chafing if evident.
