Removal Procedure

  1. Open the front and rear doors.

  2. Object Number: 708009  Size: SH

    Important: New retainers are required for the installation of the rocker panel. The retainer clips will break upon removal.

  3. Remove the front section of the rocker panel first.
  4. Pull the bottom edge of the rocker panel molding away from the rocker panel in order to disengage the retainers.
  5. Use a flat-bladed tool and gently separate the front of the rocker panel molding from the upper retainer clips.
  6. Carefully remove the front rocker panel molding from the body.
  7. Remove the rear section of the rocker panel second.
  8. Pull the bottom edge of the rocker panel molding away from the rocker panel in order to disengage the retainers.
  9. Use a flat-bladed tool and gently separate the rear of the rocker panel molding from the upper retainer clips.
  10. Carefully remove the rear rocker panel molding from the body.
  11. Remove the lower retainers by using a pair of needle nose pliers. Pinch the tabs on the clip together and pull away from the vehicle to disengage.
  12. Remove the lower retainers from the rocker panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 708009  Size: SH
  1. Install the lower retainers on the rocker panel.
  2. Install all new retainers into the molding.
  3. Position the rear rocker panel molding first to the body.
  4. Press the upper retainers into the rocker panel in order to secure the molding.
  5. Secure the molding to the lower plastic retainers.
  6. Press the molding inward in order to secure.
  7. Position the front rocker panel molding to the body.
  8. Press the upper retainers into the rocker panel in order to secure the molding.
  9. Secure the molding to the lower plastic retainers.
  10. Press the molding inward in order to secure.
  11. Close the front and rear doors.
