Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Operate the turn signals.
  3. Observe the repeater lamps.

Do the repeater lamps operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Do the turn signals operate properly?

Go to Step 4

Go to Turn Signal Lamps and/or Indicators Inoperative

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the inoperative repeater lamp bulb.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Place the turn signal switch in the appropriate position.
  5. Connect a test lamp between the front turn signal lamp supply voltage circuit of the inoperative repeater lamp and the ground circuit of the inoperative repeater lamp.

Does the test lamp flash ON and OFF?

Go to Step 6

Test for an open or high resistance in the front turn signal lamp supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Inspect for poor connections at the inoperative repeater lamp bulb. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Repair an open or high resistance in the ground circuit of the inoperable repeater lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Replace the inoperative repeater lamp bulb.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
