Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2007 🢒 CTS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 3.6L 🢒 Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    3. Object Number: 945964 Size: SH
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield to obtain access.

    4. Object Number: 887868 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector (3).

    5. Object Number: 1311144 Size: SH
  5. Remove the crankshaft sensor bolt.
  6. Remove the crankshaft sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1311144 Size: SH
  1. Install the crankshaft position sensor.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the crankshaft position sensor bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the crankshaft position sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the CKP electrical connector (3).

    4. Object Number: 945964 Size: SH
  4. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
