For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Inspect the transmission mount for excessive wear, damage, and/or deformities which may be altering the driveline working angle. If the transmission mount exhibited any of these conditions, the mount requires replacement.
  2. Inspect the rear drive axle damping bushings for excessive wear and/or damage which may be altering the driveline working angle. If the rear drive axle damping bushings exhibited any of these conditions, the bushings require replacement.
  3. Inspect the propeller shaft support bearing assembly for damaged rubber components, worn bearings, and/or a deformed/cracked bracket which could be affecting the angle of the propeller shafts. If the support bearing assembly exhibited any of these conditions, it requires replacement.
  4. Inspect the propeller shaft support bearing assembly for loose or missing shims. Reinstall correctly or replace any shims as necessary to ensure proper alignment of the support bearing assembly.
  5. If the U-joint working angle still requires adjustment, perform the following steps:
  6. • In order to increase the working angle, add shims between the support bearing mounting bracket and the vehicle underbody.
    • In order to decrease the working angle, add shims between the support bearing and the support bearing mounting bracket.
