Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  3. Object Number: 750897  Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
  5. Disconnect the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

  6. Object Number: 742959  Size: SH
  7. Remove the shock module lower mounting bolts (1).
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Object Number: 847731  Size: SH
  10. Remove the air conditioning line retaining nut from the shock tower.
  11. Position the air conditioning line bracket a side.

  12. Object Number: 742957  Size: SH
  13. Remove the shock module upper mounting bolts.
  14. Remove the shock module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 742957  Size: SH
  1. Install the shock module to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the shock module upper mounting bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 112 N·m (83 lb ft).


    Object Number: 847731  Size: SH
  5. Position the air conditioning line bracket to the stud.
  6. Install the air conditioning line retaining nut to stud.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  8. Raise the vehicle.

  9. Object Number: 742959  Size: SH
  10. Install the shock module lower mounting bolts (1).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 750897  Size: SH
  12. Connect the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle.
  13. Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  15. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  16. Lower the vehicle.
