Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the front fascia extensions. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 819841  Size: SH
  4. Remove the condenser seal (1) by carefully pulling up.

  5. Object Number: 791811  Size: SH
  6. Remove the front push-in fasteners that secure the air deflector to the fascia.
  7. Disconnect the left and the right side marker lamp electrical connectors.

  8. Object Number: 792092  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors (1, 2).

  10. Object Number: 707991  Size: SH
  11. Remove the bolts (2) that secure the bumper fascia to the front fender.
  12. Remove the push-in retainers (1) across the top side of the fascia.

  13. Object Number: 802656  Size: SH
  14. Loosen approximately 4 turns, the inner fastener nuts (2) securing the fascia to the inner fender.
  15. Loosen the fascia from the key slots at the inner fender attachments.
  16. With an assistant, remove the fascia by pulling the fascia forward from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 707991  Size: SH
  1. With an assistant, position the fascia (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Install 2 push-in retainers (1) in order to hold the fascia to the upper tie bar.

  3. Position the fascia to the key slots at the inner fender.

  4. Object Number: 802656  Size: SH
  5. Align the studs (2) to the keyhole slots in the fender.
  6. Push rearward in order to adjust.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the inner fender bolts (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (27 lb in).

  10. Secure the inner fender nuts (2).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (27 lb in).

  12. Install the remaining 6 push-in retainers (1) and secure.

  13. Object Number: 792092  Size: SH
  14. Connect the electrical connectors (1, 2) to the fog lamps.
  15. Connector the electrical connectors for the side marker lamps.
  16. Install the front fascia extensions. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .

  17. Object Number: 791811  Size: SH
  18. Install the lower air deflector to fascia push-in retainers.

  19. Object Number: 819841  Size: SH
  20. Install the condenser seal (1).
  21. Lower the vehicle.
