Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1211091 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector rail.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fuel injector rail bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1318832 Size: SH
  1. Install the sight shield grommet.

    2. Object Number: 1318830 Size: SH
  2. Install the sight shield ball studs.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the sight shield ball studs to 7 N·m (62 lb in).


    Object Number: 1211080 Size: SH
  3. Install the communicator valve.
  4. Install the communicator valve bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the communicator valve bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1211071 Size: SH
  5. Install the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor.
  6. Install the BARO sensor bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the BARO sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.
  8. Install the throttle body.
  9. Install the throttle body bolts.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1211059 Size: SH

    Important: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

  1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.

    2. Object Number: 1211055 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.

    3. Object Number: 1318829 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1211049 Size: SH
  4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
