Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 902811 Size: SH
  1. Remove the automatic transmission, if equipped. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
  2. Remove the engine flywheel bolts and the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal .

    3. Object Number: 1469358 Size: SH
  3. Remove the manual transmission, if equipped. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
  4. Remove the engine flywheel bolts and the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal .
  5. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection . If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for proper operation. Replace the starter if you find excessive wear or damage to the starter drive. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine flywheel and bolts. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal .
  2. Install the manual transmission, if equipped. Refer to Transmission Replacement .

  3. Install the engine flywheel and bolts. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation .
  4. Install the automatic transmission, if equipped. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
