Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1392497 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical -5.7L.

    2. Object Number: 419425 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the engine vacuum pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to intake manifold EVAP pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Disconnect the engine purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Remove the fuel injector wire harness retainers from the fuel rail and position aside.

    5. Object Number: 419407 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve harness connector.
  6. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the purge bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 419407 Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve to the purge bracket.
  2. Connect the harness connector to the EVAP canister purge valve.

    3. Object Number: 419425 Size: SH
  3. Connect the fuel injector wire harness retainers to the fuel rail.
  4. Connect the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Connect the engine vacuum pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical -5.7L.
