NOISY/BINDING DOOR GLASS OPER. (REPL. DOOR WINDOW MOTOR)

THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CORRECT THE ALLANTE PART NUMBERS. PART 22073444 SHOULD BE CHANGED TO "LH" AND 22073443 SHOULD BE CHANGED TO "RH". ======================================================================

SOME 1992-1993 ELDORADOS AND SEVILLES AND 1987-1993 ALLANTES MAY EXPERIENCE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WHEN OPERATING THE SIDE DOOR GLASS:

O DOOR GLASS OPERATION NOISY (CLICKING, POPPING, RATCHETING) O BINDING DOOR GLASS IN UP OR DOWN TRAVEL O INTERMITTENT DOOR GLASS OPERATION O FAILURE OF DOOR GLASS TO OPEN OR CLOSE

THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY AN INTERNAL DOOR WINDOW MOTOR SITUATION WHERE THE PLASTIC OUTPUT GEAR TOOTH IS STRESSED BEYOND ITS DESIGN CAPABILITY.

TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION REPLACE ONLY THE DOOR WINDOW MOTOR WITH THE APPROPRIATE PART FROM THE REVISED PARTS LISTED IN THE CHART BELOW. PROCEDURES ARE PROVIDED IN SECTION 10-6 OF THE SERVICE INFORMATION MANUAL.
