SUBJECT: CLARIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF DIFFERENT MODEL YEARS OF ALLANTE SOFT TOP FABRIC SERVICE PARTS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987-1991 'V' MODELS

This information is intended to clarify the identification of different model years of Allante soft top fabric service parts. Two different part numbers are used to service all soft top fabric.

P/N 1642409 is used to service all 1987 and 1988 vehicles. This part is also used to service 1989 vehicles with VIN's ending with 100656 or less. P/N 1642409 can be identified by having a loop or pocket attachment at the #2 bow position and a velcro attachment strip at the #3 bow position.

P/N 3520267 is used to service all 1990 and 1991 vehicles. This part is also used to service 1989 vehicles with VIN's ending in 100657 or greater. P/N 3520267 can be identified by having a loop or pocket attachment at both the #2 and #3 bow positions.
