VALUE PROTECTION PLAN (VPP) CANCELLATION PROCEDURES

SUBJECT: VALUE PROTECTION PLAN (VPP) CANCELLATION PROCEDURES

The recently-revised VPP Agreement Registration Forms do not have a Cancellation Provisions section printed on the reverse side of the yellow dealer copy as described in the VPP Dealer Brochure released with DSIB 90-I-70.

The form printed on the reverse side of this bulletin should be used if a customer wishes to cancel their VPP coverage and obtain a refund. The procedure and documentation requirements for cancellation are otherwise unchanged.

Additional VPP materials may be obtained by calling Cadillac Stationery Control at 1-800-892-2000.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
