Removal Procedure

    Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

  1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
  2. Remove the quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Release the cable tension. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Cable Tension Adjustment .
  4. Remove the tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 450717 Size: SH
  5. Remove the cable guide bracket screws.
  6. Remove the cable guide bracket from the vehicle.
  7. Slide the guide bracket pulley cover off of the pulley and lift the rear cable off of the guide bracket pulley.

Installation Procedure
  1. Slide the guide bracket pulley cover off of the pulley and lift the rear cable off of the guide bracket pulley.

    2. Object Number: 450717 Size: SH
  2. Install the cable guide bracket to the vehicle.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the cable guide bracket screws in the correct fastener tightening sequence as shown.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Re-initialize the power sliding door. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Cable Tension Adjustment .
  5. Install the right rear tail lamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .
  6. Install the right rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .

    7. Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer to Control Module References .

  7. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
