Removal Procedure

    Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

  1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
  2. Remove the door lock module. Refer to Sliding Door Lock Module Replacement

    3. Object Number: 1480584 Size: SH
  3. Remove the sliding door outside handle bolts.
  4. Remove the sliding door outside handle from the sliding door.

    5. Object Number: 1480587 Size: SH
  5. Remove the outside handle cable from the outside handle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1480587 Size: SH
  1. Install the outside handle cable to the outside handle.

    2. Object Number: 1480584 Size: SH
  2. Install the sliding door outside handle to the sliding door.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the sliding door outside handle bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts, in sequence as shown, to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the door lock module. Refer to Sliding Door Lock Module Replacement

    5. Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module Programming and Setup .

  5. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
