Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the right engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Install the J-41803-9 to the right engine mount strut bracket (1).

  3. Object Number: 759950  Size: SH
  4. Install the J 42451-1 to the left side engine lift bracket.

  5. Object Number: 759951  Size: SH
  6. Install the J 42451-1 to the right rear engine lift bracket.
  7. Open and secure the hood in a 90 degree position.

  8. Object Number: 790666  Size: SH
  9. Install a J 28467-B and retention pin to each end of the J 43405  (2).

  10. Object Number: 105924  Size: SH
  11. Position the J 28467-B to the left and right side inner fender rails in order to install the J 43405 .

  12. Object Number: 682139  Size: SH
  13. Assemble the following to create 2 lift hook assemblies as shown:
  14. • J 28467-34
    • J 28467-6A
    • J 28467-7A

    Object Number: 682301  Size: SH
  15. Install the 2 lift hook assemblies (1) to the J 45057-2  (2).

  16. Object Number: 759954  Size: SH
  17. Install the right side lift hook assembly to the right side hole in the J-41803-9  (2).

  18. Object Number: 759953  Size: SH
  19. Install the left side lift hook assembly to the left side hole in the J-41803-9  (2).
  20. Gently tighten the J 28467-34 lift hook wing nuts.
  21. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  22. Remove the lower air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors .
  23. Install one end of a suitable utility strap to the transaxle.
  24. • If the vehicle is equipped with all wheel drive (AWD), carefully wrap the utility strap around the transfer case.
    • If the vehicle is equipped with front wheel drive (FWD), carefully wrap the utility strap around the transaxle case extension housing.
  25. Install the opposite end of the utility strap to a suitable underbody structure.
  26. Tighten the utility strap in order to prevent movement of the powertrain.
