BLOWER MOTOR FAILS TO RUN CHANGE MODE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

SUBJECT: BLOWER MOTOR FAILS TO RUN (CHANGE SWITCH)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987-90 BUICK

CONDITION:

---------- There have been comments received that the blower motor fails to turn on.

CAUSE:

------- The cause has been found to be failed electrical contacts inside the mode switch assembly located in the control head assembly as shown in Figure 1.

CORRECTION:

------------ This condition may be corrected by changing the mode switch assembly in the control head with a new switch P/N #22567340. Refer to Figure 2.
