AM-FM STEREO WITH CASSETTE OWNERS MANUAL REVISION

THE OPERATION FOR THE ABOVE OPTIONAL TAPE PLAYER HAS CHANGED FOR THE 1982 MODEL YEAR. THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE REFLECTS THIS CHANGE AND SHOULD BE USED INSTEAD OF THE PROCEDURE SHOWN ON PAGE 2-32 OF THE 1982 CITATION OWNER'S MANUAL (PART NO. 14042958-A). THIS OPTION COMBINES THE FEATURES OF AN AM/FM STEREO RADIO WITH AN AUTO-REVERSE STEREO CASSETTE TAPE PLAYER. TO PLAY A CASSETTE TAPE, REFER TO FIGURE 31 AND THE FOLLOWING: 1.TURN THE RADIO ON. 2.INSERT THE CASSETTE SQUARELY THROUGH THE DOOR. THIS AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHES THE SYSTEM FROM RADIO TO TAPE OPERATION. 3.AFTER THE CASSETTE HAS SNAPPED INTO POSITION, ADJUST THE VOLUME AND FADER CONTROLS TO YOUR PREFERENCE. 4.TO ADVANCE THE TAPE FORWARD, PUSH THE FF BUTTON UNTIL IT LATCHES. TO RELEASE THE BUTTON, PUSH THE FF BUTTON AGAIN. 5.TO REVERSE THE TAPE, PUSH THE FR BUTTON UNTIL IT LATCHES. TO RELEASE THE FR BUTTON, PUSH THE FF BUTTON HALFWAY IN UNTIL IT LATCHES. 6.TO EJECT THE TAPE, PUSH THE FF AND EJ BUTTON ALL THE WAY IN. THE TAPE WILL POP OUT. 7.THE TAPE WILL STOP PLAYING AT THE END OF THE TAPE. IT WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY EJECT AT THE END. YOU MUST EJECT THE TAPE.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
