HIGH COLD HORN BLOWING EFFORT CUSTOM STEERING WHEELS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 SKYHAWK, SKYLARK, CENTURY, REGAL AND LESABRE WITH CUSTOM STEERING WHEEL

Changes in switch contact effort on custom horn pad assemblies were in effect at all assembly plants October 5, 1984. These changes will assist to reduce cold horn blow effort on the custom horn pad assemblies. The custom pad can be identified by its boomerang shape (See figure). The new horn pads are distinguished from the old by copper color horn contacts on the back side and a lead wire that snaps on the pad assembly rather than being riveted.
