D.I.C. LENS SCRATCHED LENS CAN BE REPLACED

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986-87 TORONADO MODELS

In the event a 1986 or 1987 Toronado digital instrument cluster lens is scratched, the lens can be replaced without sending the cluster to the repair stations.

The lens, part no. 1642867, can be ordered from GM Parts.

The procedure for replacing the lens is as follows:

REMOVAL

1. Remove cluster as instructed in the 1986 Toronado Chassis Service Manual. 2. Remove the two (2) lower lens attaching screws. 3. Slide the lens downward to disengage the tabs from the cluster.

INSTALLATION

1. Reverse the removal procedure.
