Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.

    2. Object Number: 312359 Size: SH
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  4. Remove the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
  5. Remove the wire harness straps from the steering wheel column wire harness.
  6. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) from the steering shaft (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 312359 Size: SH
  1. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) to the steering shaft (2).
  2. Center the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering.
  3. Route the lower coil wire harness along the steering column jacket.
  4. Install the wire harness straps to the steering column wire harness.
  5. Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
  8. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
